Park City Municapal Golf Course
Set in a beautiful location within the City limits is Park City Golf Course. This is a public course that ranks as one of the best in Utah. Park City Golf Club is a challenging course that was must recently updated in the summer of 2003. Park City Golf Club’s is situated at an elevation of 6,700 feet above seas level. Playing golf at this altitude can typically add more than ten yards of distance to your long drive. The views of Utah’s mountains are outstanding.
Private Golf Clubs
There are some wonderful private clubs. The Promontory Pete Dye Canyon Course features breathtaking views of Deer Valley, the Wasatch Mountain Range, as well as striking wind-protected canyons. Another golfing treasure is the Tom Fazio designed Glenwild Golf Club. You can try your skills at the Mark O'Meara Tuhaye Golf Club and one of my favorites, the Arnold Palmer designed Jeremy Ranch Golf Club tucked-in behind the north side of the I-80. Arnold Palmer also designed the links style course, Park Meadows Country Club. In fact, Park Meadows sits within the city limits of Park City. Allow an extra club for the wind at the Meadows.
Golf Between Salt Lake City and Park City
Outside of Park City is the Mountain Dell Golf Course. This course sits half way between Salt Lake City and Park City. You can see it from the interstate as you travel on I-80. The course is roughly twelve miles from Park City and very easy to find. Mountain Dell is a popular spot for Salt Lake golfers to get out of the city. You will find it busy throughout the season. Mountain Dell offers two different 18 hole courses, The Lake Course and The Canyon, both provide plenty of challenge and you will enjoy the scenery. If you want a challenging physical workout, try walking these Mountain Dell courses.
Golf in the Heber Valley Area
Other local courses you should try are in the Heber Valley area are The Homestead Mountain Resort Golf Course, the 36-hole Soldier Hollow Golf Course designed by Gene Bates and top-ranked and very popular Wasatch State Park Golf Courses.
